A van has crashed into a city centre building in Cardiff, prompting a significant emergency response. The incident occurred outside the NCP car park on Quay Street, a bustling area frequented by revellers. Eyewitnesses reported that the large white vehicle became wedged in the shop front between the popular Casanova Italian restaurant and Asador 44.

Emergency services, including South Wales Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, quickly arrived at the scene. A witness described the moment of the crash, stating, "The van appeared to have lost control. It came flying out of the NCP at about 40mph and hit the building next to Casanova's, missing pedestrians by inches."

A cordon has been established between La Pantera and the City Arms, restricting access to the area. While individuals can exit the car park, they are not permitted to enter it. Another bystander recounted, "My friend and I arrived just after it happened before they closed off the street. The van was a white VW, and people who saw it said the van came flying out of the NCP car park."

The fire service is currently preparing to move the vehicle, while the road remains closed to ensure public safety. The incident has raised concerns about the potential dangers posed by vehicles in busy nightlife areas.
