NASHVILLE, Tennessee – Utah State came out swinging in its second matchup with a top 25 team, grabbing a 7-0 lead when Bryon Barnes and Miles Davis connected for a touchdown.

USU traveled to the Volunteer State to tussle with the Vanderbilt Commodores in the program’s final non-conference tilt of 2025.

An eight-play, 75-yard drive was aided by a roughing the passer personal foul that seemed to light a fire under Barnes.

After the Aggie defense forced a Vanderbilt punt, Barnes completed two passes to Braden Pegan for 22 yards and ran for another 22 yards to set up the touchdown.
