BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- Birmingham's Terrific New Theatre is continuing its 2025-26 season with "The Spitfire Grill," a musical based on the 1996 film by the same name.

This is the second show in TNT's first full season since 2020. The season started in August with Karen Zacarias' "The Book Club Play."

"The Spitfire Grill" opens Oct. 9 and will run through Oct. 26. According to TNT, the musical follows a young woman who has just been released from prison and decides to start a new life in a rural town.

After the show closes, the following shows remain in TNT's 2025-26 season: • “Ripcord” — Dec. 4-21 • “The Recipe Box” — Feb. 5-22 • “The Events” — April 16-May 3 • “I Carry Your Heart With Me” — June 14-28
