Rebecca Gayheart is sharing an update on how her family is doing amid Eric Dane ‘s battle with ALS.

If you didn’t know, the 52-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actor announced back in April that he has been diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disease that effects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

In a new interview, Eric ‘s wife Rebecca , 54, said that she and the couple’s two daughters – Billie , 15, and Georgia , 13 — are take his health battle “day by day.”

“We have some professional therapists who are helping us, and we’re just trying to have some hope and do it with dignity, grace and love,” Rebecca shared with People .

Rebecca then admitted that her daughters are “suffering.”
