Strictly Come Dancing fans have declared 'let this be a lesson' as they were left gobsmacked by one couple's first performance in the ballroom.

The hit BBC One dance show returned to screens last weekend with the pre-recorded launch programme which saw the line-up of 15 celebrities welcomed onto the show before the new pairings revealed for the first time.

It was then on Saturday night (September 27) that they all took to the dance floor with their first routines as the competition well and truly got underway for another year.

Things kicked off with former England rugby player Chris Robshaw and his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova, as they opened the show with a samba to EMF’s Unbelievable.
