COLUMBIA, Mo. - More than 100 entries weaved through the heart of Columbia Saturday morning as thousands lined the streets for Mizzou’s homecoming parade.
Among the dozens of student entries was Mizzou Students for Justice in Palestine. The group recently won a lawsuit that challenged their rejection from the 2024 parade.
The group’s president said she was ecstatic about the federal judge’s ruling, calling it a “breath of fresh air.”
“Everyone loved us, it was wonderful,” said Lily Dunn, who runs the Mizzou Palestine group.
“(The crowd) loved our dancing, they loved the candy and the bracelets,” Dunn said. “It was a wonderful reception."
