On Saturday at 12:56 p.m. the National Weather Service released a wind advisory valid for Monday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County.
“South to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected,” explains the weather service. “Blowing dust is possible downwind of dry lake beds, especially Summer Lake and Fossil Lake.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” comments the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
