A man has been taken to hospital in critical condition after a stabbing in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood Saturday afternoon.

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) received reports of a man with stab wounds in the area of King George Boulevard and 107th Avenue at around 2:30 p.m.

“SPS officers immediately provided emergency medical intervention to stabilize his injuries, and the victim, a man in his mid-30s, was taken to hospital by BCEHS, where he remains in critical condition,” police said.

“While SPS officers were with the victim, other officers located and arrested the suspect, a man in his early 40s.”

The suspect remains in custody, the SPS says.
