A pedestrian who was struck on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard in New Haven on Friday night has died, according to police.

Officers were called to Ella T. Grasso Boulevard and Judson Avenue around 10 p.m. for a report of a collision involving a pedestrian.

Once police were in the area, they said they found the pedestrian in the right southbound travel lane with injuries.

Aid was rendered on scene to the unidentified woman and she was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital. At the hospital, police said the woman died of her injuries.

The vehicle involved reportedly remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
