SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) -- An alleged domestic violence incident turned into a suspect barricading himself inside a Susquehanna Township home on Friday, police said.

A call came in around 1 p.m. for a domestic violence incident at a home on Reichert Road, the Susquehanna Township Police Department said. When officers arrived, the department said 45-year-old Derrick East barricaded himself in the home.

Police surrounded the area and activated the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team.

East surrendered himself around 2:15 p.m. to police, who took him into custody. He now faces multiple charges, including strangulation, simple assault, resisting arrest and violating a protection order.
