Big 12 Conference began with the Colorado Buffaloes making a huge statement.

The CU volleyball team completed a stellar league-opening road trip by sweeping No. 23 Utah on Saturday, topping the Utes 25-18, 26-24, 25-22 at the Huntsman Center.

Prior to Thursday’s four-set win at No. 14 BYU, the Buffs had lost 10 consecutive games against ranked foes, and had gone 1-14 against ranked teams since the previous road win against a ranked team late in the 2022 season. Now the Buffs have picked up multiple road wins against ranked foes for the first time since 2017.

The two wins marked just the second time in program history the Buffs have won consecutive road games against ranked teams. It also happened in 2014.
