LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Former Metro Councilman Glen Stuckel has died.

The Metro Council Minority Caucus made the announcement in a news release Saturday night.

Stuckel served as an inaugural member of the Louisville Metro Council, taking office on Jan. 6, 2003, and serving the people of District 17 in Eastern Jefferson County until Jan. 7, 2019.

His colleagues say he was a tireless advocate for parks, libraries and improving community infrastructure.

Stuckel was 90 years old.
