Ste. Anne Town Council is calling on neighbouring municipalities for support in hopes of reversing a decision that has left the community’s senior hockey team without a league.

The South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League (SEMHL) announced that the Ste. Anne Senior Aces will not be part of the 2025-26 season. Hockey Manitoba has confirmed the move, stating that it does not have the authority to intervene in SEMHL governance.

Councillor Lyle Davis says the decision is disappointing for the entire town.
