Winter cost of living support has been confirmed for around three million more households this year.

It will be the first time these homes have been awarded the Warm Home Discount after qualifying rules were changed.

The scheme is launching again from Wednesday, October 1.

It will mean £150 discounts on energy bills one time only over winter for these households.

Those who now qualify are Brits who claim Universal Credit (UC), as well as some other benefits like Housing Benefit and Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
