The Los Angeles Lakers announced Saturday that former Boston Celtics guard Anton Watson has signed with the team to continue his NBA career.
The Lakers hadn’t made the details of Watson’s deal public, but it’s likely an Exhibit 10 contract.
An Exhibit 10 contract lets a team sign a player for one year at the league’s minimum salary on a non-guaranteed basis. This type of contract provides the player with the opportunity to participate in training camp, as well as the G League and Summer League.
Boston selected Watson in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft after he played at Gonzaga for five seasons.
Watson never played in an NBA game for Boston but did suit up for its G-League affiliate, the Maine Celtics. Watson averaged 12 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 21 games for Mai
