MILLVILLE — In a small library, a group of visitors witnessed history personified.
The Millville Army Air Field Museum hosted World War II veteran and Tuskegee Airman Eugene Richardson on Saturday.
Richardson, who recently celebrated his 100th birthday, gave a presentation detailing the history of the Tuskegee Airmen — a group of primarily Black Army Air Force pilots who fought in World War II — and held a Q&A session afterward.
The presentation was held in the Wyble Library at the Millville Executive Airport, where 1,500 pilots learned to fly from 1943 to 1945.
The presentation was moderated by Melvin Payne, president of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen. The chapter hosts presentations all around the Philadelphia tri-state area.
