The burly Western defensive tackle intercepted a McMaster pass 10 yards from the end zone when the game was still hanging in the balance late in the second quarter. He showed some surprising light feet and scored his first career touchdown to help the Mustangs pull away for a 52-22 win Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium. Article content Article content
“I looked to the end in the corner and thought I don’t know if I’m making it that far,” the 6-foot-2, 295-pounder said. “I took a step – either I go through someone or I don’t get touched.
“I didn’t get touched, so I got lucky.”
