Starbucks is laying off around 900 employees and closing several stores in the U.S. and Canada to refocus on a turnaround, The Associated Press reported earlier this week.

The coffee giant is closing at least 28 stores in Washington, including nine in Seattle, KIRO 7 confirmed .
