It seems like we've just endured countless months keeping our windows firmly shut, trying to prevent scorching air from entering whilst maintaining cool interiors.
Now that autumn has descended, we're about to receive advice to do exactly the reverse. With cooler autumnal conditions settling in, many households will be switching the heating back on and focusing on warming their homes again, making opening windows seem completely counterproductive.
However, the issue arises when windows stay sealed throughout winter, as condensation quickly builds up within the property. This isn't solely from drying washing - although that continues to be the main culprit - but also from cooking, showering and simply living and breathing.
