STEELE COUNTY, Minn. - A two-vehicle collision overnight in southern Minnesota sent one person to the hospital.
It happened just after 1:30 am Sunday on Highway 14 in Steele County. The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2015 Ford Explorer driven by Lori Kay Linsmeier, 48 of Mankato, was heading west in the eastbound lanes and crashed with an eastbound 2020 Ram 1500 driven by Benjamin Douglas Pollock, 34 of Kasson. The collision happened near the 84th Avenue overpass. The State Patrol says Linsmeier suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Owatonna Hospital for treatment. Pollock and his 52-year-old male passenger from Byron were not hurt. The State Patrol says alcohol use by Linsmeier was a factor in this accident. The Steele County Sheriff's Office, D
