Gitanjali Angmo, wife of jailed Sonam Wangchuk, has denied allegations of her husband being linked to Pakistan. She told news agency PTI that Wangchuk has always protested in a Gandhian manner and that the CRPF is responsible for the September 4 violence.

Angmo clarified that her husband's trips to Pakistan were related to climate change. She said that they had attended a conference organized by the United Nations. They do not see India or Pakistan in the water of Himalayan glaciers.

Gitanjali Angmo is the co-founder of the Himalayan Institute of Alternative Learning (HIAL). She said that she has not been able to contact her husband. The arrest warrant has not yet been received, and they will take legal action.
