Mother, 7-year-old child die in head

HAMDEN, CT. (WFSB) - A mother and her 7-year-old child died in a head-on crash late Saturday night in Hamden.

According to police, patrol units were dispatched to a two car crash on Davis Street near Roger’s Road.

Responding officers found that two vehicles were involved in a head on collision.

The occupants of both vehicles were transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.

It was later learned that the occupants of one of the vehicles, a seven year old child and their mother, died as a result of their injuries. The front seat occupants of the other vehicle involved in this incident suffered serious but not life threatening injuries.

Members of the Hamden Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and will be conducting the investigation.
