NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A shooting on Bourbon Street early Sunday (Sept. 28) left one woman dead and three other victims injured, New Orleans police said.
The identity of the slain woman has not been disclosed, but NOPD Supt. Anne Kirkpatrick said she was 33 years old and strolling the Bourbon Street promenade with a sibling, who also was shot. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting occurred around 2:22 a.m. in the 100 block of Bourbon Street, the first block off Canal Street.
Kirkpatrick said the three surviving shooting victims were hospitalized but appeared to be stable. One was a woman who was at the corner of Canal Street and St. Charles Avenue and sustained a graze injury. The gunshot wounds to the others were not detailed by police.
