Nationwide is sending letters to millions of customers offering them £175 payments.

It's part of a cash-switching deals which pays customers for opening their main current account with Nationwide.

The building society is targeting its customers who don't have current accounts - those who save or have mortgages with them.

As well as the £175 payment for opening a current account, these Nationwide customers will also likely get another £100 next summer through the Fairer Share scheme.

This rewards customers each year who have current accounts as well as either savings accounts or mortgages.
