Kentucky running back Seth McGowan took to social media to apologize for throwing a ball into the stands on Saturday, Sept. 27, accidentally hitting the grandfather of South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers .

While McGowan apologized for his action, he did not seem to know who he hit with the errant football when he threw it into the stands following his touchdown run.

"Today during our game vs South Carolina, I threw a ball after a touchdown meaning to throw it at the barrier in front of the stands and during a high-energy moment the ball struck a fan," McGowan wrote in his tweet. "What I did was absolutely unacceptable and not at all reflective of myself nor this program."
