COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - An apology has been issued by Kentucky running back Seth McGowan following his hitting a fan with a football at last night’s game.

McGowan took to his X page saying, “Today during our game versus South Carolina, I threw a ball after a touchdown, meaning to throw it at the barrier in front of the stands. During a high-energy moment, the ball struck a fan. What I did was absolutely unacceptable. And not at all reflective of myself, nor this program.”

University of South Carolina starting quarterback LaNorris Sellers says that the ball that McGowan threw hit his grandfather, and he tried to give him the ball after the game.

McGowan also asked to be put in contact directly with the fan so he could make a formal apology.
