TYLER, Texas — A Starbucks location in Tyler is closing its doors after the company recently made the decision to shut down hundreds of stores in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
The location on 6995 S. Broadway Ave. shut down as of Sept. 27. This is the second location in East Texas so far impacted by the closures, with another in Crockett .
Starbucks has not yet publicly shared a store closing list. The Seattle-based coffee company said store closures would start immediately as of Thursday. The company wouldn't give an exact number of stores that are closing, but the bulk of the closures appear to be in the U.S. and Canada.
Starbucks said it expects to have 18,300 North American locations when its fiscal year ends on Sunday. As of June 29, the company had 18,734 locations, with 10 in
