The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 7:31 a.m. on Sunday for dense fog until 10:15 a.m. for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex and Mercer counties.

“Patchy dense fog has developed this morning and has reduced visibility to a quarter mile or less in some locations. If traveling, be prepared for changes in visibility. The fog is expected to dissipate over the next couple of hours,” says the weather service.
