CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four people, including two juveniles, were arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting that wounded a teenager and led to a crash during a police chase, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.
On Sept. 15, CMPD responded to reports of shots being fired into an occupied dwelling in the 7400 block of Grier Road. While investigating, officers learned that a silver Nissan Altima matching the suspect vehicle was involved in a case where a juvenile was being dropped off at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
The vehicle fled the scene and later crashed near East W.T. Harris Boulevard and Chancellor Park Drive. Officers found three suspects at the crash site, with one attempting to throw firearms into nearby woods, police said.
