CLEVELAND — Cleveland police say a 15-year-old boy was killed in shooting on Cleveland's west side shortly after midnight Sunday.
Police received a call about a group of individuals arguing and fighting in the area of West 130th Street and Lorain Avenue around 12:19 a.m. Officers received updates a short time later indicating that gunshots had been fired.
The 15-year-old victim was found with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
An investigation that utilized the Cleveland Division of Police helicopter and K-9 units turned up an 18-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody at the Cuyahoga County Jail, with obstruction charges pending.
