The New Mexico Lobos continue to stack up wins in the early part of the 2025 season. Jack Layne threw for 303 yards and four touchdowns as the Lobos rallied from a double-digit deficit to beat New Mexico State 38-20 before a sellout crowd at University Stadium.
The Aggies controlled the action for most of the first half, courtesy of the big play. NMSU struck early with a trick play touchdown pass. In the second quarter, Bernock Iya recovered a Scottre Humphrey fumble and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown, giving the Aggies a 17-7 lead.
