HOULTON, Maine — The town manager of Houlton was arrested Thursday on domestic violence-related charges.

Aroostook County deputies arrested 27-year-old Cameron Clark of New Limerick just after he met with Gov. Janet Mills, who was visiting the area, according to the Bangor Daily News.

The alleged domestic violence incident happened 10 days before Clark's arrest. Police also charged Clark with tampering with a witness, which is a felony.

The Houlton Town Council chair reportedly said Clark will keep his job as town manager as the case goes through the courts.
