CHICO, Calif. - The inspiring story of a Paradise bus driver who saved 22 kids from the Camp Fire has been turned into a Hollywood film, "The Lost Bus," which hit theaters Friday.
Action News Now had the opportunity to sit down with the hero of this story, Kevin McKay. McKay shared his thoughts with Action News Now about seeing his experience turned into a Hollywood movie.
He expressed pride in the movie and hopes others affected by the fire feel the same.
McKay described the entire experience as an honor and said it was surreal to have his story made into a film. He mentioned having input on several elements of the movie.
"I felt very included," McKay said. "I got to share my perspective and a lot of that perspective made it into the film and some very key moments. The authenticity t
