Drugs and weapons were seized Friday evening after an officer spotted activity in the parking lot of a London Line motel, say Sarnia police.

Police said in a news release an officer on patrol just before 10 p.m. saw a truck in a motel parking lot with several individuals standing nearby, and after approaching noticed drug paraphernalia in the truck’s centre console.

While arresting a woman in connection with the vehicle, a man approached and attempted to stand between the woman and police officer, police said.

The man was arrested after indicating the vehicle was his.
