Tropical Storm Imelda forms and is expected to become hurricane off the US East Coast in coming days

MIAMI (AP) — Tropical Storm Imelda formed Sunday and is expected to become a hurricane off the U.S. East Coast early next week.

The storm caused disruptions in the Bahamas and nearby islands earlier Sunday before being declared a tropical storm by the National Hurricane Center in Miami with winds of 40 mph (65 kph).
