LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has ruled the death of a woman found in a Lakewood Days Inn a homicide.

Lakewood Police confirmed that they were investigating the Sept. 18 death of 54-year-old Dawn Denise Gibson after she was found dead at the Days Inn located at 12019 Lake Avenue.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, Gibson‘s death was caused by cervical compression and ruled a homicide.

19 News has reached out to the Lakewood Police for an update on the investigation into her death.
