FOXBOROUGH — David Moore suffered an injury on his first snap at Gillette Stadium .

On the first play from scrimmage, the Panthers wide receiver took a jet sweep for 12 yards but was injured on the tackle by Patriots cornerback Marcus Jones. Moore stayed down on the Carolina sideline and needed the cart. As he was carted off, the veteran wideout laid on his back.

Carolina announced it as an elbow injury and said Moore would be questionable to return.

The Panthers were already thin at wide receiver, as Xavier Leggette was inactive due to a hamstring injury. First-rounder Tet McMillan was healthy enough to play, but also batting a calf issue.
