Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Skylar Thompson was "jumped and robbed" Friday night in Dublin, NFL Network reported on Sunday.
The report came shortly before the Steelers were set to face the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL's first game in the Ireland capital.
Thompson sustained minor injuries but is OK and with the team, NFL Network reported.
"We are aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin," a Steelers spokesman said, per NFL Network. "We will have no further comment at this time as we are working with NFL security to gather more information regarding the incident."
Thompson, 28, is on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. He has yet to play in a game during his first season with the Steelers.
He has completed 58.7 percent of his passes for 721 yards
