FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Sam Pittman’s sudden firing on Sept. 28 prompted both current and former players to react on social media.

Offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino was named interim head coach on Sunday following the dismissal of Sam Pittman, the university announced in a press release.

Since the announcement, several players have voiced their reactions on social media.

A few hours after Pittman’s dismissal was announced on Sunday, the sophomore wide receiver shared a screenshot of himself on FaceTime with the coach, posting to X: 'Forever and always my guy ❤️.'
