EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — An Owensboro man is facing multiple charges after allegedly hitting a woman with his vehicle and fleeing the scene at Bally's Evansville Casino & Hotel Parking Garage.

According to EPD, 51-year-old Matthew Stallings has been charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Serious Bodily Injury as well as two other Drunk Driving charges.

The incident occurred on Saturday, September 27, at 4:30 p.m. when the Evansville Police Department was dispatched to the scene after a report of a woman lying on the ground after being struck by a vehicle.

The victim was found on the ground with visible injuries and was transported to the emergency room.

She told police she had been walking from the casino through the garage when she was struck from behind.
