A Lakesite man is facing multiple charges after chasing after and crashing into a car doing burnouts in front of his home Saturday.
Patrick Hindmon, 26, told deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office that he heard several cars "racing up and down" his street on Glengerrie Drive, according to an affidavit obtained by Local 3 News.
When he stepped outside, he saw a Mustang and a Corvette performing burnouts in the street. Hindmon told deputies he confronted the drivers, and then got in his truck to pursue them.
At one point, he stated he was able to block the Corvette on a dead-end street, causing that driver to drive off the roadway to get around him.
Later on Hixson Pike, Hindmon struck the Corvette while it was making a left turn, causing it to spin out and land in a ditch.
