WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- The parts needed to repair the water main break on Huntingdon Avenue in Waterbury have arrived and water will be shut off as crews work on Monday, officials say.

Crews from Core & Main, the City's Bureau of Water and Dayton Construction have been on site throughout Sunday, figuring out how they will begin their work.

City officials say the water will be shut off late Monday afternoon to minimize the impact on businesses and residents in the area.

The repairs are expected to take about six hours and some residents may experience reduced water pressure or temporary loss of service during this time.

For those who experience these challenges, officials suggest boiling water to drink.
