NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Kayakers found a body in the Quinnipiac River on Sunday, North Haven police said.

Local police called upon the Connecticut State Police Dive Team to help with the recovery of the body after they arrived to the scene around 1:20 p.m.

Officers are investigating to determine the identify and cause of death of this person.
