The MCU Is Working To Redeem Its Biggest Flop Four Years Later

One of the most surprising disappointments early on in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was undoubtedly Eternals. On paper, the movie seemed destined to succeed: an Academy Award-winning director, Chloé Zhao, and an all-star cast that included Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Bryan Tyree Henry, Don Lee, Angelina Jolie, and more. Unfortunately, the movie was the first MCU film to receive a "rotten" rating on the review aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes. Despite that, Marvel is still attempting to keep the franchise alive, as is evident in the first episode of Marvel Zombies.
