Jay Slater's family have discussed the teenager's involvement in a 2021 machete attack in a new documentary exploring his disappearance and death last summer.

Channel 4 has released The Disappearance of Jay Slater , a documentary which delves into how his family were affected by the events of last summer as well as sharing some key details from the case.

The 19-year-old from Lancashire was reported missing on June 17 , after attending a musical festival on the Spanish island with his friends. It wasn't until July 15 that a body was found, and the following day it was identified to be Jay.

An inquest into his death began in May this year, and has come to an end, with the coroner concluding that Jay's death was an accident, and that he died from traumatic head injuries
