JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - I-55 northbound and southbound near Festus near Highway 67 are currently closed after a six-car crash on Sunday afternoon.

The accident occurred at approximately 4 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, there are three fatalities and one known injury at the moment.

A crash reconstruction team has been called to assist with the investigation.
