COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- For the first time in 12 years, both of Ohio's Major League Baseball teams have made the playoffs. The Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds are set to play postseason baseball in 2025 after a wild playoff push in the last weeks of the season.

Cincinnati booked its first playoff spot since the COVID-shortened 2020 season despite a 4-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday to close out the regular season; the Reds moved on to the playoffs after the New York Mets lost to the Miami Marlins. This is the first time since 2013 that the Reds are in the playoffs in a full season.
