Two teenage pedestrians were struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver on Friday night in North Bellport, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

The pedestrians, a 15-year-old from East Patchogue and a 14-year-old from Bellport, were crossing Station Road eastbound at Patchogue Avenue around 9:38 p.m. when the driver of an SUV struck them while going south and then fled toward Montauk Highway, the department wrote in a news release.

The 15-year-old was seriously hurt and was brought to Stony Brook University Hospital, and the 14-year-old was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk with minor injuries, the release said.
