The cruise industry is experiencing its strongest growth in years, generating more than $168 billion in global economic impact and supporting 1.6 million jobs worldwide , according to the Cruise Lines International Association's (CLIA) 2025 State of the Cruise Industry Report . The report also reveals that about 34.6 million people cruised in 2024—a nine percent jump from the previous year—and that number is expected to climb to 37.7 million in 2025.
