The cruise industry is experiencing its strongest growth in years, generating more than $168 billion in global economic impact and supporting 1.6 million jobs worldwide , according to the Cruise Lines International Association's (CLIA) 2025 State of the Cruise Industry Report . The report also reveals that about 34.6 million people cruised in 2024—a nine percent jump from the previous year—and that number is expected to climb to 37.7 million in 2025. This growing number of cruisers is due in part to the high satisfaction rates cruises have among travelers.
