SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — For the 3rd year, many at Wonders of Wildlife noted a large turnout at their Hunting and Fishing Day and Native American Heritage Celebration.

"We're super excited about this year's turnout," Nichole Gumm with Wonders of Wildlife said. "This is our third year hosting this event here at one another full of native vendors, native singing and dancing here, as well as some food and some outdoor skills that kiddos and families can participate in."

The three-day event partners with the American Indian Center of Springfield.

"It's really important to us for a lot of different reasons, but first and foremost, Native Americans are the first conservationists in this land. We want to honor those folks who have taught us and continue to teach us a lot about being stewards of the
